There are multiple types of acne, we will discuss inflammatory and non-inflammatory.
Acne is the most common skin condition among teenagers because it is usually associated with hormonal fluctuations. Clogged pores can cause acne due to excess production of oil (sebum) and dead skin cells.
Types of Acne
Inflammatory – Acne that is red and swollen refers to inflammatory acne,
although sebum, dead skin cells, and bacteria can contribute to inflammation, below are sub-kinds of inflammatory acne.

Cysts
Non – inflammatory – Most common non-inflammatory acne are blackheads & whiteheads; they generally do not cause much swelling. Here are the types and causes:

Precautions and Treatments:
Non- inflammatory acne should be treated with OTC Topical Medicines – such as salicylic acid-based facewash.
Pustules, Papules, Nodules, and cysts are moderate to severe forms of acne. One should get an appointment with a dermatologist.
Precautions:
• Wash and keep your skin clean.
• Take doctor recommendations before using skin products.
• Picking or popping acne can lead to scars.
• Consume dairy products in limited quantities.
• Avoid junk food
• Avoid excess use of cosmetics
• Avoid sunlight exposure.
• Avoid oil-based skincare products.
• Use non-comedogenic products.
