Causes & Symptoms of Hair fall

According to scientific research, one can lose 50-100 hairs daily. If it has more than 100 hairs per day then it is considered a hair fall/hair loss problem. Hair loss is one of the most common problems seen in adults with an average age of 24 – 40 years in both males and females. Hair loss is mainly the result of heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions, or aging.

Causes of hair loss :

-Family history (heredity). The common cause of hair loss/baldness is a hereditary condition that happens with aging.
-Hormonal changes
-Medical conditions.
-Nutritional Deficiency
-Medications
-Acute illness, pregnancy
-Radiation therapy
-stressful events

Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on various causes.

Signs and Symptoms of hair loss may include
Gradual thinning on top of the head.
Circular or patchy bald spots
Sudden loosening of hair.
Full-body hair loss
Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp

See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss, or not improving even after having a good diet.
Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child’s hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
