There are two main reasons for hair loss, hereditary conditions & acquired conditions, sometimes it occurs with gradual ageing also. Hereditary hair loss process is mediated by androgen hormone; while in acquired causes, different factors are responsible for hair loss like nutritional deficiency, stress, hormonal changes, protein deficiency, medical illness, post surgery, post trauma, pregnancy etc.
Fungal infection can present itself with various sign and symptoms like red patches, ring shaped lesions, scaling, peeling, cracking, fissuring , pustules formation, itching , irritation, burning, and sometimes nail changes also.
